This place is now officially the pits. Today was marked by overcharging for 2 sides that were not the standard sides, as well as an owner/manager sitting at the counter arguing with the waitress about a loss of $26 over the weekend in front of customers. The food that used to be good for years has lost its flavor and is simply gross. It used to be good enough to allow you to look past all the flies and insects inside. Never going back again. Made the mistake of returning here and the owner Tom was again sitting at the counter arguing in a loud voice about overcharges on his card. Constantly on cell phone being rude to people on the other end for all customers to hear.
Amazing barbeque food and sauces, was stuffed after eating and half chicken and my friend a half rack ribs!! I couldn't stop eating, the sauces I had never tried. I am from Florida and visiting this area, I feel this should be on the show with the man that visits places with great food. Food portion is twice what Florida restaurant s offer and price is right. Really enjoyed the meal, every bite a joy!!
The food was pretty gross. The Mac and cheese was cold. My brisket was mostly fat on a soggy bun. The wife's meal was exactly the same way. Pretty sure we had a nice spider family living in the web's above our booth. I'd suggest finding the next bbq joint on the map down the road.
Good ribs, good pulled pork...nice people. You have to their "Private Reserve" sauce... the best.
From the moment I walked in I noticed confusion and disorganization. There is no sign indicating weather we sat ourselves, etc and no acknowledgement from staff. Once we asked and were told to seat ourselves we found many available tables, but none that were clean. Sat at the cleanest one we could find which was covered in dried coffee cup rings. We sat without menus for 10 min. My husband ordered baby back ribs that were about $15 and was served extremely fast and were extremely tough and flavorless. I ordered a hot dog and fries, but was served sausage on a bun and fries that were black in color indicating they were cooked in old oil. We left nearly 100% of our food on the plates and paid a bill of $32. Overall this establishment is dirty, outdated, disorganized and is clearly run by people who have no idea what it takes to operate a successful business. They fail to deliver on the most basic customer needs, for example, no salt/pepper on tables. Grade? F. My professional opinion says this place should be shut down and likely would be if visited by Food & Safety department.
